I want to know if something like a 22cal is adequate for home protection or should I get a larger caliber gun? I don’t want to specifically kill someone that breaks in, just scare them.

Local police asking for a video from my home security camera(with or without court order), can I charge them for it(is there a reasonable price established, camera cost + dvd/cd media + software cost + computer/burner)? And how much can I charge them? Location Salt Lake City Utah.
I don’t believe in Communism so answers just give it to them, are not considered. They do not work for free right, we pay a taxes, plus if there would be 10-50 request per year wich is not unreal(hi trafic street), that is some cost, they charge me for any records request it should work both ways.
Again for the patrol officer/detective/sergeant blablabla and such. Camera cost was 00, software 0 computer 00 network hardware/wire/installation time ab 0. This is more than their secretary makes a month, who makes copies of requested documents and charges even if its one page.
